Aly, first graduate of Strong Tower program
Four values of the Strong Tower Program:
HOPE, OPPORTUNITY, MENTORING, EMPOWERMENT
Strong Tower is our comprehensive two-year program, provided in a safe and dependable home environment.
Every child deserves to grow up in a loving, safe family. Kingdom Pillars provides services, and support to Central Ohio women, ages 18-25, who have been trafficked and those aging out of the foster care system; and to fostering and adoptive families committed to providing loving homes.
The national statistics vary from study to study, but sadly they range from 50% up to 80% of children in foster care having been trafficked going into or during foster care.
Our Strong Tower program provides the safe, dependable home with hope and help, so women may reclaim their lives and future, creating a victorious path forward.

The destructive path vs the Strong Tower path. Young women will commit crimes to get caught just so they are safe from the dangers of being on the streets. According to the Licking County Justice Center, the cost to house an inmate in the year 2023 is $126 per day. That is $3780 per month. The cost of providing housing and daily living costs is around $28 a day or $840 per month.
For less than a fourth of the cost of incarceration, our Strong Tower Home provides a safe warm place to live and sleep, food, mentoring, mental health services in a family environment, and preparation and life skills needed to become an independent woman and part of society.
(Jay and Darcey McCampbell, Co-Founders, Kingdom Pillars)
Darcey has been mentoring women for more than 20 years. Her mentoring role has been honed over her many years of fostering 79 children and adopting 9 with her husband Jay.
The McCampbells know first-hand the trauma and brokenness caused by a childhood of instability and living in a system rather than being loved in a family. They know how to walk alongside a young adult who has been trafficked for sex. Five of the nine children they adopted were trafficked by biological family and/or while in foster care.
The Strong Tower program is built upon pillars that strengthen each lady committed to her path forward: dependable housing, safety and trust, mental health, mentoring, education and life skills, and spiritual growth.
The house image is blurred because the location must remain private to protect the ladies, but some amazing details all come together in one location:
The location is secluded and yet within minutes of health and community services, childcare, education, and work opportunities.
Solidly built 8,500 square foot home with 2 wings on 8 acres.
Wing 1 includes a separate entrance for office space, activity space for program activities, such as art therapy, group sessions, and Strong Tower holidays and reunions. There's space for fundraising, and onsite training for program volunteers, law enforcement, churches, foster parents, educators, and others who want to know how to stop human trafficking within their spheres. There's even an indoor pool, providing space for year-round exercise.
Wing 2 provides the welcoming home environment for the Strong Tower ladies, including housing for five women (one with a child) or six women if no children. Full kitchen, great room, study, dining area, bedrooms. This wing includes space that can be renovated in the future to accommodate additional bedrooms, bathroom, and laundry.
Decks, gardens, and woods surround the house, providing places for recreation, peaceful and safe reflection, and program activities.
Darcey, thank you so much for having our team out today to tour the Strong Tower home. It was great to see such a well-put-together program for those that need it most. Your program to date is the best we've seen in the state of Ohio.
Note: Several women have been referred to KP through HTTF and Grace Haven. We appreciate our partnership with these organizations.
October, 2021, we secured a bank loan and moved into the Strong Tower house.
Immediately, we received referrals from our network of agencies and ministries.
Central Ohio women, rescued from sex trafficking, and those with nowhere to go after aging out of foster care, have been coming to the Strong Tower house ever since.
of rescuing and restoring women from human trafficking and helping women aging out of foster care have a home and a victorious path forward?
